Whether you prefer cremation with a small family gathering or would like a large traditional funeral, you can trust us to assist you in planning and honoring your final wishes.
Dillard Funeral Home was established as Clayton-Dillard Funeral Home in 1933 by F. Van Clayton and Austin Dillard. In 1962, the Dillard family purchased the funeral home from the Claytons and renamed it Dillard Funeral Home. It was at that time that Austin’s son, Jim Dillard, joined the family business. In the early 1970s, the funeral home moved from its original Pendleton Street location to North Catherine Street, and in 1987 Jim’s daughter, Ginger Dillard Selby, became part of the funeral home staff. Dillard relocated again in 1991—this time to 2402 Gentry Memorial Highway, adjacent to Hillcrest Memorial Park, where families can conveniently plan all their final needs.
The funeral home is housed in a beautiful 14,000-square-foot facility, and a separate building houses an on-site crematory and crematory chapel. Other amenities available at Dillard include four visitation rooms, two arrangement rooms and a large chapel with seating for 300 guests.
